on the northern edge of the lake, thunderclan makes their home in the trees, in what the twolegs call hare hill woods. the underbrush here is thick, and most of the trees are deciduous, or leafy. they are bordered by windclan and shadowclan and are the closest clan to the moonpool.

thunderclan has the north-eastern portion of the lake. it's a common place for cats to find peace or to play. prey is also fairly common by the water.

a network of tunnels running below thunderclan and windclan grounds, connecting them. they are dangerous and young cats often get in trouble by exploring them.

a good place for prey and an excellent source of herbs. it has an ominous feeling and seems ready to fall down at any moment.

a very very old, very large oak tree near the lake with a rabbit's burrow underneath. it is also called the sky oak. squirrels like living here and apprentices often practice climbing here.

the slim-bodied cats of windclan live on the moors, open to the stars and surviving off rabbits, making them the swiftest of all the clans. they are bordered by thunderclan and riverclan and have the advantage of being close to both the moonpool and the gathering island.

windclan cats often hunt by the stream that is the border between windclan and thunderclan because it is the only part of their territory that has forest prey. when rabbits are scarce this patch of forest is beneficial.

riverclan owns the south to western part of the lake shore. their piece of shore is sandy and very popular with all the cats of riverclan. lake fishing is more difficult but the lake is used as a source of prey.

the swimming cats of riverclan live almost surrounded by water. because they are the only ones willing to get their paws wet, they stay the fattest of the clans in good times.

this land of wet, soggy ground covers large areas of the lake shore, bordering windclan where it meets horseplace. it is an excellent place to find frogs and snakes, as well as small fish and many kinds of herbs as long as you don't mind wet paws.

this shallow dip in the grassland is where riverclan trains its apprentices. the grass makes a soft place for battle training and the surround grasses make good for hunting practice.

a most peculiar bridge that ends halfway out in the water. it doesn't seem to go anywhere and the twolegs tie their 'boats' to it. when it is deserted, apprentices will often play here.

most of shadowclan territory is dry pine forest, in which reptiles and other prey can be found. the marshier areas near the stream are a good place to hunt frogs. they hunt with little cover and usually at night. they are closer to twolegs than they'd like, but they make the most with what they've got. their lack of cover makes them quieter on their feet than most.

near the thunderclan border, this area is populated by twolegs and their dogs during the warm moons of greenleaf, and is best avoided during this time. it is an excellent place to hunt during the colder moons, when twolegs aren't as common.

near thunderclan territory, shadowclan cats often hunt here. however, much caution is taken during warmer weather for twolegs often walk these paths with their dogs at that time.

the border between windclan and riverclan. the horseplace also acts as part of the border but clan cats don't often go there. windclan cats aren't likely to come near the marsh unless food is very scarce.

the houses of the owners of the horseplace. a couple of houses are here where a few kittypets live. not nearly so many as the old forest, though the clan cats probably prefer it that way.
